A Carson City man remained in critical condition Thursday after rolling his vehicle in East Carson City on Wednesday night.

Kyle Buck, 25, sustained two punctured lungs in the 5:43 p.m. accident three miles south of Highway 50 East on Deer Run Road, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Buck was northbound when he lost control and rolled his Subaru Hatchback several times.

Paramedics at the scene reported Buck, who was unconscious and trapped in the wreckage, smelled of alcohol.

He was taken by helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno where he is in the intensive care unit, said Furlong.

Search and Rescue crews were called out and scoured the field to the east of the accident scene until after 9 p.m. in case Buck had a passenger that may have been ejected during the wreck. No one was found.

Furlong said a blood test will determine if Buck was under the influence when the accident occurred.
