'Sound of Music' auditions set

The Western Nevada Musical Theatre Co. hosts auditions for "The Sound of Music," 6 p.m. Wednesday, in Sarah Winnemucca Hall at Western Nevada College Carson City campus.

There are 17 roles to be cast, including children and ensemble. Auditioners should come prepared to sing a one-minute song with accompaniment. Rehearsals begin in February. Performances are two weekends at the Carson City Community Center on May 7-16.

Everyone accepted must register with the college to participate in the productions. This course applies to an associate of arts degree with an emphasis in musical theater. For more information go to www.wnmtc.com or call 775-445-4249.
