Recycled Seconds Capital City Arts Initiative

Check out the current exhibit today and tomorrow at the Carson City Courthouse Gallery. This project focuses on fashion design and showcases the local talents of a gifted group of young, energetic, challenging, fanciful designers. This event reminds me of Seattle and haunting the high-end fashion couture of local thrift shops and the experience of a true find - an item tossed away that can be recycled into a fashion score. This is a fun event to bring budding young fashion-minded girls and boys to check out what you can do on a budget at local thrift shops.

WHAT: "Recycled Seconds" exhibition of work by local fashion designers and artists featuring designs from the DIY workshops and Fashion Studio at Classy Seconds

WHEN: Jan. 7 - 8. Closing Reception is 5-7 p.m. Friday.

WHERE: CCAI Courthouse Gallery, 885 East Musser Street; gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday

COST: Free
