A convicted sex offender arrested in December for allegedly seducing a 15-year-old girl he met online was charged Tuesday with having sex with the girl and possessing child pornography.
Three counts of statutory sexual seduction and 16 counts of possession of child pornography were added to Dirk Patrick Klinke's original charges of violating his parole.
Klinke, 28, was arrested Dec. 13 after allegedly picking up the girl and taking her to his house for sex. It was the third time the two met up, according to the arrest report.
A subsequent investigation of Klinke's computers, which his terms of parole prohibit, revealed hundreds of pornographic photographs and videos of children as young as 2 years old, said Detective Dave Le Gros.
Klinke was convicted in 2004 in Scottsdale, Ariz., of sexual misconduct with a minor and attempted sexual misconduct with a minor. He was released from prison in September 2007.
The Nevada Sex Offender Registry lists him as a Tier 2 offender, posing a probable risk to reoffend and a threat to public safety.
