Susan Jean Clay, 60, of Carson City died Jan. 5, 2010. She was born June 4, 1949, in New Jersey to James Farrington and Roberta (Reardon) Burton. She is survived by her son Joseph G. Clay II, daughter Shelly K. Williams, companion Joseph G. Clay I, all of Carson City; mother Roberta Burton; brothers James Burton of Eugene, Ore., and Douglas Burton of Los Angeles; one niece and two nephews.
