One of the most requested publications from the Carson City Area Chamber of Commerce office is a detailed street map of the area.
The last Chamber map was published at least five years ago and is now out of date since the freeway is complete to Fairview Drive.
The new map will provide advertising space for chamber members who wish to have their message reach the thousands of people each year who request a map. It will be a quality publication that will well represent the community and the Chamber.
The online version of the map will be hyper-linked on the chamber Web site at www.carsoncitychamber.com. Points of interest and map advertisers will be located on the map with links to their business Web site.

A fundraiser for Carson Advocates for Cancer Care features an evening of wine tasting and dancing from 7-10 p.m. Jan. 23 at Carson Nugget.
The Mile High Jazz Band will provide the live music and the dance floor will be open. About 20 wineries will be on hand with samples.
Cost is $30 advanced and $35 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Mike's Pharmacy (William and N. Curry streets); Cancer Resource Center (Medical Pkwy); Cared 4 Seconds/Carson Advocates for Cancer Care (1801 Hwy 50 East, Unit A).
