Health screening in Dayton

Dayton Valley Country Club will host a health screening by Life Line Screening from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at 101 Palmer Drive, Dayton.

Life Line Screening uses ultrasound to scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease; and a bone density screening for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. All five screenings can be done in an hour and cost $149.
