Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A 21-year-old auto recycling center employee from Carson City was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense drunken driving, hit and run and driving on a license revoked for DUI. Bail was set at $4,764.
• A 39-year-old cook from Carson City was arrested at 9:53 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Curry Street on suspicion of misdemeanor first-offense drunken driving and driving without a license. Bail was set at $1,219.
• Richard Edward Sloan, 58, a slot tech from Carson City, was arrested at 9:34 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Sneddon Way on suspicion of felony preventing a victim from calling 911, misdemeanor discharging a firearm within the city limits, possessing a firearm while intoxicated, domestic battery and threats. He allegedly fired his shotgun in his bedroom after a dispute with his wife, who was not in the room at the time.
• A 19-year-old groundskeeper from Carson City was arrested at 8:51 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Continental Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court and obstructing an investigation. He allegedly hid from police in the rafters at Dos Amigos after a stabbing there early Sunday morning, the arrest report stated. Also arrested was a 30-year-old Carson City woman at 5:44 a.m. Sunday on Highway 50 East on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing an investigation. She allegedly refused to listen to officers investigating the stabbing.
• Kenneth Henry Barksdale, 47, disabled from Carson City, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. Sunday at Walmart on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor shoplifting. Bail was set $2,847.
• Tyler Scott Schroeder, 20, unemployed from Minden, was arrested at 2 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of felony obtaining money under false pretenses, two warrants for failure to appear in drug court and misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. No bail was set.
• Shawn Daniel Hague, 27, a restaurant manager from Carson City, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 5100 block of Gentry Lane on suspicion of gross misdemeanor false imprisonment. He allegedly held his ex-girlfriend captive overnight, according to the arrest report. Charges of domestic battery and kidnapping are pending a review by the District Attorney's Office. Bail was set at $2,500.
• A 28-year-old restaurant manager from South Lake Tahoe was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of South Carson Street on a traffic warrant from the Nevada Highway Patrol.
• A 40-year-old Elko man was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $1,222.
• A 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.
• Ken Roy Jared, 49, a construction worker from Carson City, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Stewart Street on suspicion of felony preventing a victim from reporting a crime and misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $8,132.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
• Arrest on Main Street in Fernley at 1:32 a.m.
• Felony arrest at a liquor store on Main Street at 6:26 a.m. in Fernley. Employees allegedly stopped a man from shoplifting.
• Commercial burglary on Highway 339 in Mason Valley at 9:05 a.m.
• Hit-and-run report in Dayton at 12:12 p.m. Allegedly happened in Dayton High parking lot.
• Arrest on Tuscarora Street in Silver Springs at 12:51 p.m.
• Fernley High student cited for disruption of class at 12:58 p.m.
• Destruction of property report on Summer Street in Fernley at 5:06 p.m.
• Arrest on Highway 50 East in Fernley at 8:43 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
• Vehicle rollover on Six Mile Canyon Road at 7:58 a.m.
• Report at 9:39 a.m. of trash and a bumper dumped behind the senior center on Peri Ranch Road.
• Report of vandalism over the weekend at Hugh Gallagher Elementary School.
• Report of a horse, either dead or unable to stand, on Power Line Road with a young stallion standing over it at 12:31 p.m.
