FAYETTEVILLE - Bobby Petrino went a familiar route to find another assistant coach Thursday.

According to ESPN.com Nevada offensive coordinator Chris Klenakis, a graduate of Petrino's alma mater at Carroll College in Helena, Mont., has been hired as Arkansas' offensive line coach. The story also appeared on the Arkansas Online Web-site.

Klenakis replaces Mike Summers, who left to take a similar position at Kentucky last week.

A university spokesman would not comment on the reports Thursday afternoon.

Klenakis is the second coach with Carroll College ties to be hired at Arkansas in as many weeks. Former UNLV receivers coach Kris Cinkovich, who played alongside Petrino at Carroll College, was hired last week.

Klenakis also played at the Montana school when Petrino was its quarterback in the early 1980s.

Arkansas special teams coordinator John L. Smith and defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell, who was hired last week, also coached at Nevada during their careers.
