A woman was arrested Saturday on a felony robbery warrant nearly a year after she and two other people allegedly ambushed a Carson City man who posted an item for sale online.
Erika Chantelle Lamb, 38, of Reno, was being held in the Carson City Jail on $50,000 bail.
According to the arrest report, in March 2009 a Carson City man sold a laptop on Craigslist for $175.
The male buyer, who claimed to be from Reno, picked up the laptop with the understanding that the battery didn't work, police reports state.
The victim said he told the buyer that he had a battery on order and he'd be willing to sell it when it arrived.
When the battery arrived and the victim was unable to contact the buyer, he posted it for sale on Craigslist and was contacted by a woman who agreed to meet him at the Straw Hat Pizza in South Carson.
When the victim was inside the restaurant talking to the woman and a female friend, the buyer of the laptop appeared and assaulted the victim. The trio then fled with the battery. Before the victim's arrival, the party ordered food and paid for it with a credit card belonging to Lamb, the report states.
The victim, who suffered lacerations to his head and face from being punched and slammed into a door, also identified Lamb in a photo lineup, according to the police report.
Lamb posted bail and was released Tuesday. A court date is set for Feb. 2.
