Electric chair: Rumor has been floating that Superintendent Crawford of the Mint has St. Vitus dance. Whenever anyone would go to see him about business, he would wheel about in his chair, jump up and down a few times as if he was squatting on paper tacks. Professor Binback has solved the mystery. The chair occupied by the adipose superintendent was a reservoir of electricity and when he turned about in it, the pivot generated electricity by friction. Every whirl produced 12 shocks shooting upward through Crawford's body causing contortions. When he learned of the fact that his chair was generating electricity, he threw it out the back window of the Mint.

Waiting for graves: Mack, the grave digger ... says that on account of drifting of snow in the cemetery, graves won't be dug until the storm is over. Mrs. Siddons and Charley Appleberg are awaiting burial.

The Senators stretched their junior varsity record to 3-1 in league, an 11-1 overall with a 66-31 win. John Vendelin again led the way and Johnny Borda added 13 points. Dave Dodson scored 8 and Matt Russell scored 6.

Albertson's Food and Drug Center plans to locate a third Carson City store near the Super Kmart, a new 63,000-square-foot grocery store and six-pump gas station are proposed for the corner of College Parkway and North Carson.
