All week long on ESPN Radio, the pundits have been weighing on today's NFC and AFC championship games.
On the way to work Saturday, all I heard about is that Brett Favre is 13-10 in playoff games and Peyton Manning is 8-8, and that a loss could ruin their respective legacies.
Hogwash.
When all is said and done, both will be in the Hall of Fame. People need to stop judging quarterbacks by how many Super Bowls they won during their careers. Do people understand how hard it is to even get to the Super Bowl?
The quarterback is probably the most important position on the field, but the position gets too much of the credit when a team wins and too much of the blame when a team loses. These guys are human as are their teammates, and mistakes are made. Some of the mistakes are self inflicted and some are caused by the opposition.
Anyway, I'm picking the Saints 28-24 over the Vikings and the Colts 27-16 over the Jets.
I've covered games in the Superdome before, and trust me, when it gets noisy you can barely hear the guy next to you speak.

Kudos to Carson High's boys basketball team for its big win at Douglas on Friday night. The 55-50 win gives Carson a 7-1 record, a game behind unbeaten Bishop Manogue.
Guess who Carson plays on Tuesday? That's right the dreaded Miners.
Carson, behind Brian Barnes' 23 points and the open-court play of sophomore Andrew Johnson, gave Manogue all it wanted the first time around before losing 61-50 at Morse Burley Gym.
Coach Bruce Barnes will do everything he an to slow down Manogue's run and gun offense. No doubt he would like to see a game in the 40s or 50s. For that to happen, the Senators will have to shoot a high percentage, something they have been unable to do very often this season.
