LAS VEGAS - Police say a man is dead and a woman is critically wounded after a shooting at a home southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.
Police say officers were called to the house near Russell Road and Jones Boulevard a little before 1:30 a.m. Monday.
They found the man dead in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers say the woman hid in a closet with a gunshot wound to her face.
She was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say they believe the assailant had been allowed into the house by the male victim.
