RENO (AP) - A small plane with engine problems tried to land on a road north of Sparks but flipped over.

Authorities say Saturday's crash left the pilot and a passenger with just minor injuries.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the aircraft came to a rest upside down.

He says the Cessna 182 had taken off from Reno Stead Airport, where it was planning to return.

The identities of those aboard weren't immediately available.
