Wallace Hesse passed away at his home on January 24, 2010. He was born in Carson City to Leslie Hesse and Mildred Evans Hesse, whose grandparents settled in Carson in 1858. He lived here his entire life and worked for the highway department for 33 years, starting as a surveyor and working his way up to highway engineer. He lived to fish and hunt. He is survived by his wife Norma Jean; son Paul Hesse (wife Sandy) and daughter Andrea Chrestensen (husband Chris); four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister Gladys Pederson; sister-in-law Thelma Kaweski, and numerous nieces and nephews.
