Archaeologist and rock art scholar Dr. Mary Ricks will discuss her research at 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson St.
The lecture is in conjunction with the exhibit "Rock Art Perspectives: Pictographs and Petroglyphs" and part of the Frances Humphrey Lecture Series.
Ricks will discuss her research of more than 100 rock art sites in Warner Valley, Ore., including one site that dates back to the eruption of Mt. Mazama, 7,000 years ago.
Regular museum admission fees apply: $6 adults, $4 seniors 65 and over, free for members and those under 18.
