LAS VEGAS (AP) - Organizers say Miss Oklahoma Taylor Treat has won a $6,000 scholarship at the Miss America Pageant for her volunteering and community service.

Officials say the Quality of Life scholarship given this week is awarded with special attention to depth of service, creativity and how effectively the service changes lives.

Treat's chosen platform for the pageant is engaging students through service learning.

Miss New Hampshire Lindsey Graham was first runner-up for the award and won $4,000. Miss Nevada Christina Keegan won second runner-up, worth $2,000.

Graham has worked to raise awareness about mental illnesses while Keegan's chosen platform is rape education and recovery.

The finals for the pageant are scheduled for Saturday night in Las Vegas.
