RiteMade Paper Converters is relocating its Richmond, Calif. manufacturing and distribution center to a new facility in Reno, the Northern Nevada Development Authority said on Tuesday.

The new 40,000-square-foot facility is located in the ProLogis, Golden Valley Industrial Park at 900 North Hills Blvd.

The relocation is expected to begin Aug. 1 with operation beginning in Oct. 1. This new facility will create up to 20 new jobs, according to the NNDA.

RiteMade Paper, headquartered in Kansas City, Kan., makes small paper rolls for business machines. The company is employee owned, with manufacturing plants and warehouses in Kansas City, Richmond and Fredericksburg, Va.

"As with most manufacturing relocations, these projects take time. Our initial process began back in October 2009," said Rob Hooper, NNDA executive director.

Hooper said the Nevada site was chosen over Arizona, California, New Mexico and Utah.
