RENO - The Reno Bighorns will play the 2010-11 season as the NBA D-League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, the National Basketball Association said Tuesday.
The Bighorns, coming off their first playoff appearance in franchise history, will retain the Sacramento Kings for the third-straight season. The lone player in Bighorns franchise history to be sent to Reno on assignment was from the Kings, as guard Donte Greene played five games for the 'Horns in the 2008-09 season.
Reno's new parent club for the upcoming season is the Golden State Warriors, who spent last season as the parent club for the Bakersfield Jam.
