A Carson City woman was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly threatened her boyfriend with a gun because he was badgering her about her visiting sister, a police report indicates.

Connie Marie Douglass, 50, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the arrest report, a neighbor spotted Douglass "screaming" at her longtime boyfriend in the street and allegedly pointing a weapon at him about

8 a.m.

Douglass told police she was "tired of her boyfriend badgering her and getting in her face about her sister who had recently come to visit," according to the report.

A fed-up Douglass allegedly grabbed her gun and told the man to "Get the (expletive) out, or I am going to kill you," the report states.

After she followed him out of the house, she allegedly went across the street to her father's home.

When officers arrived, she admitted she pointed the gun at her boyfriend. "I was going to kill him," the report states Douglass said.

Officers recovered the weapon.

"Mrs. Douglass stated before I placed handcuffs on her and detained her, 'I should have killed him,'" Deputy Jessica Rivera wrote in the report.

The boyfriend said he and his girlfriend of many years got into an argument, but he didn't think it was a "big deal," the report states.

"(He) told me he told Connie to shoot him, but he didn't think she was going to get in trouble for pointing a gun at him and telling him she was going to kill him," Rivera wrote in the report.

Douglass' bail was set at $2,500.
