MINDEN - A 26-year-old Carson City man is set to plead July 26 in District Court to charges he trafficked in cocaine.
Aurelio Cervantes-Carillo waived his right Wednesday to a preliminary hearing in East Fork Justice Court.
He is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, a felony. He is being held in Douglas County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
Cervantes-Carillo, his brother and 15-year-old nephew were arrested June 30 on multiple drug charges after a two-month investigation into cocaine trafficking in Douglas County and Carson City.
The arrests were made in Carson City by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team and the Tri-Net Task Force.
They seized more than 12 grams of cocaine, three marijuana plants, several thousand dollars, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and three motor vehicles.
Taurino Cervantes-Carillo, 38, was booked in Carson City Jail.
The 15-year-old, Taurino Cervantes-Carillo's son, was booked into the Carson City Juvenile Detention Center for trafficking in controlled substances, cocaine.
Officers served search and arrest warrants at 2580 Bunch Way and 2901 Lorraine St. in Carson City on June 30 after observing multiple drug transactions in Douglas County and Carson City.
