Gloria Landers Harris, 77, was born on August 17, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo. She was later adopted by John and Desa Landers. Desa was 60 years of age when she adopted Gloria, but because Gloria was not expected to live for very long the adoption was approved. Gloria grew up in Omaha, Neb., where she met and fell in love with Davey Lee Harris, who at the time was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Neb. They were married just 3 months later on July 10, 1950. She was predeceased by her father John Landers, mother Desa Landers, husband Davey Harris, and her companion of 12 years Al Pagni. She is survived by her son Scott Harris of Cooperstown, N.Y., daughter Diana L. Harris of Carson City, son Stace L. Harris of Carson City, granddaughter Davie L. Zimmerman, grandsons Stephen L. Harris, Zachariah D. Bellona, Zerick L. Harris and great-grandson Ayden J. Zimmerman. Gloria passed away July 10, 2010, at home surrounded by family on what would have been her 60th wedding anniversary to Davey Harris. A visitation will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday July 17, 2010, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Carson Advocates for Cancer Care, P.O. Box 3127, Carson City, NV 89702.
