Carson Middle School students will be required to wear a uniform next year.
All students will be required to wear the standard school attire on the first day of school.
The attire will consist of a light or navy blue polo shirt, to be purchased through the school.
They will be paired with either khaki or black slacks, shorts or skirts, which parents can purchase from any clothing outlet.
An article in last week's Nevada Appeal had the incorrect color of the pants.
The uniforms will be part of an overall behavior program, Positive Behavior Support, being launched next year.
The slacks must be fitted at the waist, while shorts and skirts must be two inches above the knee or longer. Tights or leggings under skirts must be plain white or black.
Plain white or black undershirts may be worn under the polo shirt, but the polo shirt must be worn as the outermost layer and tucked in.
Makeup and jewelry still will be allowed.
