Gov. Jim Gibbons on Wednesday filed a campaign report detailing $178,924 in contributions and $184,022 in expenses.
That is about one-fifth the $963,988 in contributions reported by Democratic front-runner Rory Reid. Reid has also dramatically outspent Gibbons, at $982,521 so far.
Among the larger contributions to Gibbons is $10,000 - the maximum allowable - from Wynn Resorts and casino owner Michael Gaughan, both in Las Vegas.
Gibbons also received $5,000 apiece from the Las Vegas Sands, Las Vegas Sands LLC and Venetian Hotel/Casino - all owned by Sheldon Adelson - and $10,000 from Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Casino.
Bruce James, the retired federal official Gibbons named to head his SAGE Commission study of governmental efficiency, donated $1,000.
Republican Mike Montandon, the former North Las Vegas mayor, reported contributions of $80,251 and expenses of $113,734. Brian Sandoval's report had not been received by Wednesday.
The reports, the first of three required of each candidate, list contributions and expenses by each campaign through May 27. They are required to be filed by June 1, but many candidates send them by registered mail, which is allowed as long as they are postmarked by the deadline.
Elections officials expect the reports to continue arriving throughout the week.
