Of all the class of 2010's achievements, perhaps the most memorable will be its senior prank. It is for sure the most visible.
"That was our goal," said Erik Roberson, 18, who plans to major in biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, "that everyone in Carson would see it."
Late Thursday night, a group of senior athletes from the football and soccer teams known - at least among themselves - as "the sexy six" hiked up the face of C Hill.
Using 38 white tablecloths from the dollar store and three rolls of duct tape, they transformed the iconic "C" overlooking the city to a "10."
"Everyone looks up at C Hill, so there's no way anyone could have missed it," said Jorge Guevara, who plans to attend Southwestern University to pursue a career as a probation officer. "We wanted everyone's attention."
His fellow sexy six - Uriel Duran, Brian Duran, Rober-son, Miguel Camacho and Blake Plattsmier - dedicated the adventure to Guevara, who turned 18 on Thursday.
It also earned the respect of their fellow graduates.
"I thought it was awesome," said Sam White, 18, who plans to attend UNR. "It just shows everyone how proud we are of being 2010 graduates."
Hannah Kapczynski, 17, was impressed with their work.
"I think it was the best class representation of 2010 there could be," she said. "It made me proud."
Although each graduating class tries to pull off some kind of prank, this year's may have happened on the grandest scale.
The sexy six hope they set a new standard.
"That's what we were trying to do," said Camacho, 18, who plans to major in business at UNR. "Raise the bar."
