Clothes all swept away, the Englishman retired to Glenbrook the next day where it was thought he was sending a letter to the London Times, which he will endeavor to prove the Pacific Slope is a hallow fraud and Lake Bigler (Lake Tahoe) only a mud puddle.

Indians have been notified by C.H. Asbury, superintendent of the Lovelock Indian School, that there is land situated near Stillwater that is open for settlement by the Piutes who do not presently have land. Ten acres will be given to each Indian, making from 20 to 50 acres to each family.

Miss Gladys Gilbert arrived in Carson Wednesday to visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Gilbert. Miss Gilbert is a student at Armstrong's in Berkeley.

Girl Scout director Joyce Johnson announced plans for the annual Girl Scout day camp. The theme this year will be based on Indian crafts and sports. Girls are to meet at designated points to be transported to Galena Creek campsite.

Golf and basketball team member Dick Stoddard and Kimberly Orlando, track and cross country team member were named Appeal citizen-athletes of the month.
