A Carson City man arrested Tuesday for allegedly providing a 12-year-old girl with over-the-counter drugs to get high was additionally booked Thursday for having sex with the girl, a police report indicates.
Nathan Andrew Bailey, 18, of Carson City, is being held on suspicion of felony lewdness with a minor under 14 and gross misdemeanor statutory sexual seduction.
According to police reports, on Tuesday at Mills Park a deputy found Bailey and the girl intoxicated on "eight to 10 cold medicine pills" which Bailey allegedly stole from a pharmacy the previous evening. He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The girl was released to her parents.
On Thursday, the girl's father called police to report his daughter admitted having sex with Bailey on numerous occasions since meeting him at a party in December.
Bailey also allegedly wrote the girl love letters while in jail on a probation violation from February to March.
Bailey said he thought the girl was 14, according to the arrest report.
He is being held on $52,500 bail.
