Witnesses sought in Washoe Valley stabbing

Washoe County investigators are looking for witnesses to a stabbing on Highway 395 in Washoe Valley earlier this week.

Matthew Schoeppler, 30, is being held in the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony probation violation. According to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, Schoeppler is a suspect in the stabbing about 1 p.m. Monday in the area of Bellevue Road in Washoe Valley.

Any person with information is encouraged to contact Washoe County detectives at 328-3320. Secret Witness, 322-4900, is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
