Chamber to host luncheon Monday

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce will stage its annual luncheon meeting tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at the Governor's Mansion.

The keynote speaker will be Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki.

The event will include an introduction of new officers, a farewell for others and a recognition of volunteers.

Young professionals group to stage mixer

The Carson City Young Business Professionals will stage a mixer at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office, 1208 N. Carson St.

Marketing committee members unveiled by NNDA

NNDA announced the members of the Regional Marketing & Media Advisory Committee last week. The marketing and media executives and professionals will join other industry committee members already representing the Sierra Region of Nevada for the NNDA. They are:

NV Energy donates used vehicles to local nonprofits

NV Energy donated 11 vehicles from its utility fleet, valued at $111,800, to Northern Nevada nonprofit and community organizations.

Among the vehicles donated were SUVs, pickups, a bucket truck and backhoe.

American Red Cross Northern Nevada Chapter, Friends in Service Helping (FISH) in Carson City, Douglas County Sheriff's Search & Rescue and Mountain View Cemetery were among the recipients.

Area realty firm completes sale for private eye firm

Sperry Van Ness completed a three-year, 1,250-square-foot office lease with Elite Investigations, which provides private investigation services.

The property is located at 9437 Double Diamond Parkway in Reno.

Tomi Jo Lynch and Thomas Y. Johnson, CCIM of Sperry Van Ness represented the tenant, Elite Investigations.

Energy efficiency program for developers planned

NV Energy will host a program that will help provide financial incentives and technical assistance to building owners and developers to use energy efficiency measures in new construction projects.

The program is 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the corporate office, 6100 Neil Road, Reno.
