MINDEN - Battery with a deadly weapon and burglary charges are being sought against a Carson City man who was stabbed in a Johnson Lane home on Sunday.
A request for an arrest warrant for Keith Watrous, 39, has been forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney's Office for review, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Halsey.
Halsey said sheriff's Investigator Nadine Chrzanowski interviewed all three parties to the incident that happened in the 1200 block of Esther Way at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Watrous allegedly entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Pallo.
Deputies were told that Watrous and Tom Warne, 37, became involved in an altercation inside the home. Pallo told deputies she stabbed Watrous with a kitchen knife to get him to stop hitting Warne with a flashlight.
Watrous allegedly drove off in Pallo's vehicle without her permission. He drove to Carson City where he was helicoptered to Renown Regional Medical Center for a single stab wound to the back.
Warne was taken to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Halsey said that the sheriff's report is recommending no charges be filed against Pallo.
