Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Dennis James Harrison Jr., 21, a construction worker from Carson City, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at the junction of highways 50 West and 395 on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon. Also arrested was a 19-year-old Carson City man on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and a 20-year-old homemaker from Carson City on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and warrant for failure to appear. The duo was allegedly involved in a dispute at Chimney Beach in which Harrison is accused of hitting another man with a rock. Bail for Harrison was set at $30,000.
• Nicholas Bradley Parker, 23, of Dayton, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Thursday on a felony Reno warrant and parole violation. No bail was set.
• Jeffrey Paul Machado, 34, a tile setter from Reno, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. Thursday at Lompa Lane and College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, driving without a license plate, driving without insurance and gross misdemeanor child endangerment. He was allegedly driving while intoxicated with his 4-year-old son in the car. Bail was seat at $9,441.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
• Report on Carson Street of one employee providing another employee with prescription drugs at 3:04 p.m.
• A mother reported at 3:22 p.m. that her 13-year-old daughter was approached by an apartment maintenance worker who asked for her phone number and said he wanted to be her friend.
• Checks, jewelry and money was reported missing from a home on Cascade Drive at 10:14 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
• Felony arrest on Main Street in Fernley at
12:26 a.m.
• A Silver Springs man reported at 12:07 p.m. his neighbor called his wife a derogatory name then ran into his house.
• A juvenile on probation in Mark Twain cut off his ankle monitor at 2:50 p.m.
• Fire report on East Ward Lane in Mason Valley at 3:51 p.m.
