Chili Cook-off
There are back-to-back chili cookoffs in Carson City during Independence Day festivities at Glen Eagles Restaurant, July 3-4. The High Sierra and Nevada Capital Chili Cookoffs, sponsored by the International Chili Society return to Glen Eagles Restaurant and will be on the grass under the trees. It's not just chili, the festivities also include a craft fair and locals' cookoffs of salsa, verde and red chili.

Virginia City 4th of July parade and fireworks
Remember that the annual parade will start at noon and fireworks are scheduled for after dark. The parade starts and the July party goes throughout the entire town

RSVP Fourth of July Celebration
We're just a few days away from the Fourth of July, which will include a beautiful fireworks display over Carson City thanks to the RSVP program each year. Dig out the lounge chair, coolers and head to Mills Park and enjoy the Carnival midway, arts and crafts vendors and food and the fireworks start at night fall.
