RENO (AP) - A federal bankruptcy judge is telling lawyers and accountants in the Station Casinos Inc. case that he plans to look into overbilling and question expense accounts.

Judge Gregg Zive says he'll hire a fee examiner if he becomes uncomfortable with the charges to the casino operator.

Zive approved $12 million in interim fees and expenses for lawyers and accountants.

Zive says the privately held company has progressed in its agreement with lenders and is heading toward emerging from bankruptcy.

Station says it has agreed with key lenders on a reorganization plan, which calls for cash infusions and new credit facilities to reduce secured and unsecured debt.

Station filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. It says it has been negotiating with lenders and others since 2008.
