Fierro: Sales development, operational planning and marketing execution.

NNBW: How did you get into this profession?

Fierro: Through a networking relationship with company CEO Mary Wecker, that has developed into the opportunity of a lifetime.

NNBW: What is something no one knows about your job?

Fierro: I am also an associate pastor at a local church. Mary, as a strong follower of Jesus Christ, and I have dedicated prayer time for our employees, our company and our community. That may be the most important part of my job that I fulfill.

NNBW: If you could have had any other profession what would it have been? Why wasn't it your first choice?

Fierro: I couldn't ask for anything better than I have right now. I have the opportunity to work for a God-fearing business owner who not only lets me make my Christian ministry part of her business but also gives full support to my life's calling of full-time Christian ministry.

NNBW: How do you spend your time away from the office?

Fierro: Lots of cycling, family time, studying for ministry and leading a church family.

NNBW: Do you have a favorite vacation memory?

Fierro: My father took my family and me on a two-week trip to Washington, D.C. and Disney World when I was a kid, which was really fun.

NNBW: Of all the things you learned from your parents, which do you feel was the most valuable?

Fierro: A strong work ethic and being a good leader, which I learned from my father.

NNBW: What's the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Fierro: It wasn't given to me directly, but I remember a speech by a man named Jim Valvano at the 1993 ESPY Awards.

The words that he said stuck in my mind and have never left me: "Don't give up. Don't you ever give up."

NNBW: What is the quirkiest or oddest job you've ever had?

Fierro: One of my first jobs out of high school was working for the garbage company as the guy that hangs off of the back and picks up cans and dumps it into the truck.

NNBW: What do you like most about your job? What do you like least?

Fierro: I love leading our employees down a path of success with an owner that treats me as an equal and partner and that I have the freedom to use our business as an evangelistic opportunity to reach people. I do not like when I let her down.
