No injuries in Saturday rollover

No one was seriously injured in a rollover accident Saturday morning on Highway 50 East near Flint Drive, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Nordyke.

The accident occurred in the westbound lanes at about 8:30 a.m. when the driver of a red Nissan Pathfinder fell asleep at the wheel and rammed into the right rear of a westbound maroon GMC pickup, Nordyke said.

The impact of the collision spun the Nissan around clockwise and sent it careening across all four lanes and off the side of the road where it rolled down an embankment, he said.

Neither the driver or passenger in the Nissan were seriously injured in the accident, and none of the three people in the pickup received serious injuries, Nordyke said.
