For pleasure or pain, for weal or for woe,

'Tis the law of our being, we reap what we sow.

We may try to evade them, may do what we will.

But out acts, like our shadows, will follow us still.

We reap what we sow - oh! What wonderful truth -

A truth hard to learn in the days of our youth.

But it shines out at last, as the hand on the wall,

For the world has its debit and credit for all.

Mr. Barnum is nothing if not original. He proposes as a feature of the World's Fair of 1898, the securing from Khedive of the mummy of Rameses II, the Pharaoh who persecuted the Ismelites, and the exhibition of the relic under a guard of Egyptian soldiers.
