Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki will address the business community on the future of economic development, Wednesday, March 31 at 6 p.m.
The address is part of the Northern Nevada Development Authority's business resource reception. The reception is open from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley Inn, 1627 Highway 50 North, Minden.
Krolicki will share his insight on the state's economic development efforts.
"What is on everyone's mind is how Nevada will look in the future," Krolicki said. "The old adage - thinking outside the box - has a much more powerful meaning today than ever before. The NNDA partnerships and committee structure are meeting this 'new normal' head on."
Rob Hooper, executive director of the NNDA, will update attendees on the organization's strategies and goals for the Sierra Region and uncover how Nevada is luring companies not only from California but from states like Washington, Oregon and others through this new concept of open source economic development.
This event is free and open to the public. A courtesy RSVP is requested by calling 775-883-4413, e-mailing nnda@nnda.org or online at www.nnda.org in the "Events" section. Light refreshments will be served and a no-host bar will be available.
