Nevada's Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki will address economic development in the Sierra Region at a March 31 reception at the Carson Valley Inn, 1627 U.S. Highway 50, in Minden.

Krolicki will address how economic development teams are working to attract companies and jobs to the area. The reception starts at 4 p.m. and the address at 6 p.m., both free and open to the public.

Northern Nevada Development Authority Executive Director Rob Hooper also will address attendees.

"What is on everyone's mind is how Nevada will look in the future," Krolicki said. "The old adage - thinking outside the box - has a much more powerful meaning today than ever before. The NNDA partnerships and committee structure are meeting this 'new normal' head on."

Business assistance groups also will be on hand for networking opportunities.
