RENO (AP) - A committee of the Nevada State Contractors Board has awarded 17 homeowners more than $137,000.
The Residential Recovery Fund was established in 1999 by the state Legislature to help provide relief to single-family homeowners whose homes were damaged by licensed contractors.
To qualify for funds the owner must occupy the home. Eligibility to receive funds is determined after an investigation by the Contractors Board. Complaints must be filed with the Contractors Board within four years after the completion of work.
