A 36-unit apartment complex is still without power this afternoon after a power pole was blown over, damaging its transformer Monday evening, said Karl Walquist, a spokesman with NV Energy.

The power line, located on Telegraph Street near, is being repaired today. Power is expected to be restored to the apartments, located on Telegraph and Elizabeth streets, by 6 p.m., Walquist said.

The power outage, which started at 5:30 p.m. yesterday, also affected some homes, which have since been restored with power.

Another power line knocked over by strong winds in Dayton also shut off power for 1,950 customers Monday night, Walquist said.

The outage in Dayton started at 7:23 p.m. and power was restored at 8:50 p.m. The power line is being repaired today.
