LAS VEGAS (AP) - State and federal officials say a Nevada voter fraud task force is up and running again - looking for election irregularities, questionable voter registration and intimidation.
Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller, state Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden and FBI Las Vegas Special Agent in Charge Kevin Favreau said Wednesday in Las Vegas the statewide effort will be similar to an interagency push in 2008.
They say the Election Integrity Task Force aims to prevent fraud at the polls in the June 8 primary and the November general election.
Favreau says investigators are watching for everything from vote-buying and bribery to interference or intimidation at polling places, ballot box stuffing, and complex campaign finance irregularities.
