Meditation retreat planned

A Residential Meditation Retreat, focusing on death and dying is planned for the weekend of May 14-16 at St. Mary's Art Center in Virginia City.

Well-known Buddhist teacher, Marv Treiger Ph.D. MFT, will lead the retreat.

"There is no way to avoid aging, illness and death. So then, how must we train? One way - the way of this retreat - is to contemplate the way it really is for us by way of the wisdom teachings," Marv Treiger says.

St. Mary's was a hospital during the Comstock days of the silver mines. It's been beautifully restored and has a wonderful atmosphere.

It is possible to attend for a day, instead of the whole weekend.
