Two men were jailed Friday evening after they allegedly beat a fast food manager who told them to stop calling the restaurant to speak with an employee.
Alberto Lepe, 26, a shipping and receiving clerk from Dayton, and Jaime Ponce, 19, a laborer from Carson City, were arrested on suspicion of felony battery with substantial bodily harm.
According to the arrest report, Ponce called the Jack in the Box on William Street to speak to his ex-girlfriend. The second time Ponce called, the assistant manager, also the ex-girlfriend's brother, told Ponce to stop calling.
Ponce allegedly attacked the victim as he was getting into his car after work. The report states Lepe joined in. When the victim fell to the ground, both men kicked and punched him "to the point where he began to lose consciousness," the report states.
The victim was taken to the hospital by friends and was found to have multiple contusions, a fractured nose and a possible concussion.
Officers contacted Ponce and Lepe, both suspected gang associates, at a home on Camille Drive later that evening.
Each is being held on $10,000 bail.
