Registered pups are distributed free every year.

Carson City high school's student newspaper, the "Senator" won an "Honors" award in the mimeographed newspaper division of the University of Nevada high school publication contest. Editor is Larry Hardy, John Utt, assistant editor; Misty Pozzi, sports editor. Advisor is Mrs. Lula G. Walford.
