SPARKS (AP) - Sparks police are looking for shooter, a white Jeep and a high-powered rifle after a bullet hit the side of a car and almost wounded a 10-year-old girl inside.
Police say the shooting happened about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, when a bullet lodged into the passenger side door of a car on the 200 block of Los Altos Parkway.
Investigators think the shot was fired from the area of Disc Drive, just west of Pyramid Highway.
A witness reported seeing a white, four-door Jeep Wrangler with black lettering on the sides in the area at the time.
Police aren't sure if the Jeep was involved in the shooting. But they're trying to find it as a part of their investigation.
