Man's body found in Truckee River

RENO (AP) - Police are unsure of the cause of death of a man whose body was pulled from the Truckee River in Reno.

Police say an officer spotted the body today in the river near the Wells Avenue overpass.

The Reno Fire Department responded and retrieved the body. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the man carried no identification, and an autopsy will be performed to pinpoint the cause of death.

Police are treating the death as a possible homicide, and it remains under investigation.
