RENO (AP) - Police say a gunman purchased ammunition at a Walmart in Nevada shortly before shooting three co-workers at the same store in an attack apparently spurred by his grievances with the company.
Police, at a news conference Monday, said John Dennis Gillane bought the handgun ammo in the store's sporting goods department about an hour before the shootings of three male managers on Friday. He was armed with two handguns during the shootings.
Two of the victims remain in stable condition at a hospital, while another was released after treatment Friday.
Gillane surrendered to police after holing up in an office in the store for six hours.
He was booked into jail on charges on attempted murder and battery.
