RENO (AP) - A disgruntled Walmart employee in Reno was arraigned Thursday on charges that he tried to kill three of his managers.
A Reno newspaper reports 45-year-old John Gillane was read the attempted murder and battery charges against him during a brief video arraignment at the Washoe County Jail.
He awaits a Nov. 17 preliminary hearing and appointment of a public defender to represent him.
Gillane is accused of shooting the three managers in the store, then barricading himself in an office there for hours.
Two of the managers remain hospitalized for serious internal injuries. Another was treated and released.
Gillane told police he wanted the managers to contact the corporate office so he could talk about his unspecified grievances with the company.
