Obituary: Caroline Simone Piccolo (Capitain)

Dec. 30, 1949 - Nov. 8, 2010

Mother, lover, sister, Nonni, and cancer warrior.

A pillar of strength, courage and love, Carol passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Together 39 years with her soul mate Bill, and devoted mom and best friend to her daughter Sarah, she had so many friends, and had a zest for life that was contagious. She was a small woman with brute strength who battled cancer with courage and dignity.

We will miss her terribly, cry rivers of tears, and feel forever grateful to have had her in our lives. A celebration of life will be held in her home by the river that she loved so much on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers plant a garden, a tree, or flowers in the spring and tell your family and friends how much you love them and how special they are.

Carol's death precedes her husband Bill Piccolo, daughter Sarah Piccolo, son-in-law Chris Brown, granddaughter Simone Piccolo Brown and sisters Teena Barry and Andrea Eby.
