RENO (AP) - The city of Reno and Washoe County are seeking residents' input on whether the two governments should combine services in information technology, human resources and purchasing.
Washoe County and Reno already share dozens of services through inter-local agreements, memorandums of understanding and consolidation.
The county, Reno, Sparks and Washoe County School District created a committee to study ways to share services.
The first project focused on sharing IT, HR and purchasing.
The Shared Services Elected Officials Committee is scheduled to meet Dec. 20 to review survey responses from residents and consider possible action.
